Program Description

This unique summer travel experience has been offered annually since 2005, with over 100 students and 14 different faculty members taking advantage of this great opportunity. If you enroll in this program, you’ll travel abroad, spending three weeks in eastern Germany with fellow Ashland students and professors. At the same time, you’ll earn six credits of Ashland University courses, and all of the offered courses are taught by full-time Ashland University faculty. The AU in Germany Program fulfills the CCI Course with Study Away.

Students will have the opportunity to stay at the newly renovated Colleg Wittenberg, allowing them to study in a historical environment and have easy access to lecture rooms, a cafeteria, laundry facilities, wireless access, bikes, a recreation room, and outside recreational facilities. Many of the students who have taken this trip come back and say it was the best and most beneficial experience they had while in college.

FOR BUSINESS MAJORS
If you need to fulfill your BUS 239/339/439 core requirement or are an International Business major looking for study abroad credit, the AU in Germany Program can satisfy these academic objectives. You must work closely with Dr. Pittenger to complete your portfolio. This includes work prior to departure and upon return.
