Dr. Swanson, Professor of Mathematics and the Director of the Honors Program, will lead a group of AU Honors students to Ireland in May 2017. The multi-city tour will provide students with the opportunity to ex- perience firsthand the culture of Ireland. The tour is tied to the Spring 2017 Honors 390: Honors Interdisciplinary Seminar course, during which students will study various topics related to Ireland, including one segment dedicated to issues in modern day Ireland. Other topics in consideration for the course are Irish writers, film-makers, and poets, Irish music and danc- ing, the science of Robert Boyle, and Celtic art. The course has been ap- proved to fulfill the CCI requirement Course with Study Away.
