Dr. Swanson, Professor of Mathematics and the Director of the Honors Program, will lead a group of AU Honors students to Italy in May 2015. The multi-city tour will provide students with the opportunity to experience firsthand the culture of Italy. The tour is tied to the Spring 2015 Honors 390: Honors Interdisciplinary Seminar course, during which students will study various topics related to Italy, including one segment of the course dedicated to issues in modern day Italy. Students will keep a journal while in Italy and use their journal entries to write a GPS narrative based on their experiences in Italy. The course has been approved to count as a Course with Study Away within the GPS requirement of the Core Curriculum.
